ROUTE OF THE VOLCANOES

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA RUTA

This hike starts at the bbq of Shelter El Pilar, at 1.450 m., and followsthe ridge of volcanic chain to the south until the rise from nearly  2.000 m. above the sea level. Surprising volcanoes like the San Juan (erruption in 1949) lined up one after the other until the rise to the crater of Las Deseadas, the highest point of our route, from there we can see the island from the bird´s-eye view. During our descent we are surprised of the volcano Martín with his beautiful reddish colors and surrounded by pine forest of the southern tip we arrive at Los Canarios, the aim of our hike.

The price to pay for the walking route depends of the number persons who participate at the hike.
