SWELLING OF MARCOS Y CORDERO

With a landrover 4X4 we drive on forest trails in the north west until we have reached the altitude of 1.400 m. above sea level. Equipped with helmets and flashlights, we come to pass into a magical environment with lush vegetation. Walking along the antique water channel * and crossing 13 strait tunnels until we reach the swelling of  Marcos y Cordero. After the last swelling  the hike falls suddenly down until the  Barranco del Agua, crossing the forest of Los Tilos until reaches the visitors center Reserva de La Biosfera. * The hike leAds through some very fissured regions and there exist the danger of rockfall.

We recommend appropriate clothing and strong, comfortable footwear (preferably hiking boots).food and sufficient fluids, in addition with suntan creme, headgear (hat), windbreaker / slicker and ropa and warm clothing in the winter months. (Practical technique of onion - several layers of clothing which are easy to change.) We offer to our clients our wooden rustic hiking sticks for walking. Feel free to bring your own hiking equipment.
